Our philanthropy is our treasure. All of our hard work and efforts go towards the National Kidney Foundation and the many lives it helps. The reason we chose this as our philanthropy was due to the impact kidney disease has had on a couple of our families. In case you were not aware, diabetes can lead to kidney disease or kidney failure; and because of the commonality of diabetes in the hispanic race, we raise as much awareness as we can to prevent it from reaching that stage.

Even though it may not seem like it, Kidney disease is the 9th leading cause of death in the United States. As many speakers have told us before, it is an illness that can easily be overlooked. It is our job to educate and inform our community of this hidden threat.

With all the funding we do throughout the school year we are able to raise a significant amount of money to donate to the National Kidney Foundation. We do this to continue the fight, we choose hope's side and take action to make people's lives better, even if it is one person at a time.
